Week 1: First steps

There are many ways to start to learn in a MOOC. We have prepared a description in Styrian dialect (which is an Austrian dialect) which you may enjoy.

Dealing with confusion

The AtLETyC MOOC as any website with a lot of content will be confusing at the beginning. That’s ok, it will pass after you attended the first week.

Take a look at the different parts of the MOOC website.

  • To get an overview you can visit the What to learn page.
  • If you want to get a badge – a kind of certificate which shows that you engaged with the MOOC – klick at the information How to get a badge.
  • If you want to find out about the people in the MOOC take a look at the community page where you will find information about the other learners and the team behind the AtLETyc MOOC.

If you have any question about the MOOC itself, please ask them in a comment at the FAQ page. We will answer them and update the FAQ.

Learning by doing

Sometimes it is easier to learn by doing something. Therefore I want to invite you to the Assignment 1.1: Present yourself.

Getting support

The whole AtLETyC MOOC team is eager to support you but especially Natasa in her role as moderator and convener will monitor your activities, answer your questions and support you if you get lost in cyberspace.

    Hello everybody 🙂
my name is Viktoria but all of my friends call me Viki. So it’s fine if you call me so as well.
I am a professional soccer player. I’m coming from Austria and therefore playing for the Austrian national team, but my club is based in Munich, where I actually live.
I’ve just finished my Bachelor of Arts for Sports Management.I basically don’t know what job I will do after playing soccer, but I’d be interesting staying in the sports business. That’s why I am interested in learning by all of you, your experiences and your stories!
I’m really looking forward to work with you guys.
    Bye for now 🙂
